Summary of responsibilities:
As a Wine Rack Store Manager you’ll be responsible for providing training, leadership, and direction for the operation of a Wine Rack retail store within Ontario. You will be required to:
- Generate profitable sales based on meeting and/or exceeding sales objectives within your store
- Build, manage, and motivate your sales force (hourly Wine Merchants)
- Train and develop your employees in the areas of wine product knowledge and customer service
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure that needs are addressed in a timely and efficient manner consistent with the company’s corporate policies and procedures
- Develop effective and targeted merchandising consistent with customer needs/sales
- Responsible for store recruitment, employee relations, general store management, disciplinary action, enforcement of policies and procedures, budgeting and sales
- Administrative reporting
Requirements of the ideal candidate:
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Supervisory experience, including training staff
- Social, enjoys dealing with people and doing what is needed to ensure customer happiness
- Experience in retail sales and merchandising
- Desire to be a team player and lead by example
- Love and appreciation of wine
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
